Kit's Story

Kit came to Sisu after being kicked out of their home. Sisu gave Kit a safe place to land and figure out the next steps for building the life they want to live. Through Sisu’s Transitional Living Program called Quest, they have found stability and safety. Kit is one of 30 young people in a Sisu transitional living program.

Through a partnership with the Central Oklahoma Workforce Innovation Board, Kit is paid to work at Sisu’s shelter. Kit helps with janitorial and administrative tasks while gaining valuable experience and job skills. “I am learning better communication skills,” Kit said “I’m really grateful for the opportunity to be part of this program.”

Kit is working hard toward their goals. They want to find stable housing and a job where they can work with animals. Kit wants to say thank you to everyone who supports Sisu. “Everyone at Sisu is thankful and Sisu wouldn’t be the same without your donations.”
